I guess you could say Amanda and Peter are High School sweethearts. Their story began in their Orlando Florida High School physical therapy room. Peter was there after he suffered a football injury and Amanda happened to also be there recovering from a cross country injury. It was in that room that they began talking and their love began to build!
At such a young age, neither drove or had a car, so their parents acted as chauffeurs dropping them off to hang out with each other. As their High School love grew, so did each of them, but they did it all together…first jobs, first cars, getting accepted into colleges.
As they fondly look back on the last 10 years of their relationship, both agree growing up side by side has created a solid bond for their love. Today, they are still an extremely connected pair, living in their Tampa apartment with their pup, Apollo. Amanda works as a mental health social worker and Peter as a paramedic with the fire department.
Food is their passion. Cooking meals, baking breads, and trying out new local restaurants is something Amanda and Peter enjoy doing together. Because of their love of food, choosing a catering company for the wedding took quite a bit of time, as they wanted their guests to experience the same passion for food as they have!
I had met Amanda and Peter way before they became my wedding clients through my sister in law, who employed Amanda as a nanny for many years. Not only did the kids adore Amanda and Peter, but they both became close family friends and now attend birthday parties and participate in Halloween activities.
We planned out Amanda and Peter’s engagement session to reflect some of their favorite things… a cool little food truck area in Lakeland called the Poor Porker and of course their dog Apollo had to be in some photos! We ended their session at the beautiful expansive Colt Creek State Park.
